How to Knit the Sand Stitch [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]
Sand stitch is a super easy two row repeat that creates a lovely texture of very defined purl bumps. Use it on its own in a larger piece (it would work brilliantly with a small garter stitch edge as something like a washcloth or facecloth), or use small sections of it to add texture to a plainer piece!
One fun aspect of Sand Stitch is although it is not a reversible stitch, the reverse of the work forms Broken Rib Stitch – so you still get a defined stitch pattern on the wrong side of your work.
Sand stitch is a beginner friendly stitch, and if you need more than a written pattern to help you visualise the stitches then I’ve popped a link to the video tutorial below.
