How to Knit Seeded Rib Stitch [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]
Seeded Rib Stitch is yet another take on the more classic styles of knitted ribbing. This stitch produces wide, chunky strips of ribbing whilst retaining a decent amount of stretch. At just a two row repeat, this stitch works up not only quickly, but easily. The pattern repeat isn’t overly complicated to get to grips with, making it perfect for less experienced knitters to have a go at.
As an added bonus, Seeded Rib Stitch is completely reversible. This makes it perfect for any project that needs to look good on both sides – scarves, dish cloths, or blankets. That being said, as it’s quite a nice stretchy ribbing, it would make for a great alternative to the more traditional 2×2 ribbing on a beanie or hat.
