How to Knit Andalusian Stitch [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]

Andalusian stitch is a simple twist on plain stockinette stitch. This 4 row repeat is easy to learn and produces a wonderfully quirky textured pattern. Knitted as part of a stand-alone project or incorporated into a bigger mixed stitch project, Andalusian Stitch is definitely worth adding to your stitch repertoire!

I first discovered Andalusian Stitch when looking for a stich that would provide a nice contrast to garter stitch – the result was my Harvey Blanket, the texture of the Andalusian Stitch gives a nice contrast to the garter stitch sections and provides a little more interest than plain stripes of Stockinette Stitch.
