How to Knit Granite Stitch [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]
Granite Stitch cleverly uses Increases and Decreases to create a really fun and interesting texture.
At only a 4 row repeat, this pattern is quick and easy to get to grips with. The rows of K2tog (knit two together decrease) and kfb (knit front back increase) are perfect for beginners to practice getting to grips with these techniques, whilst still achieving a useable project.
Granite Stitch is not a reversible pattern, it does have a very definite right and wrong side as you can see from the photo below. That being said, the back isn’t ugly in any way at all – it just doesn’t match the right side.
